Here is the radio I am replacing, a RELM RMV60B. This radio has given me problems since the day I bought it...but that's another story.
The Yaesu is much smaller than the RELM radio and has alot more features.
The installation is straightforward. (1) Remove the old radio and mounting bracket. (2) Position and install the new mounting brackets. I used some generic Radio Shack mounting brackets I had. They allowed the radio to be mounted more to my liking.
Here is the finished product. The speaker fires directly at me. The radio is within easy reach. The power is connected to my fuse panel under the dash.
